I’m Microchipped Characters

In the neon shadows of a crumbling city, members of the underground resistance meet in secret to plan their next strike against the mega-corporation that’s tightening its grip on what’s left of free society. They’ve gathered to plan an exploit that could broadcast the truth to the public, but something is off. One of them isn’t who they claim to be. Hidden in their group is an undercover corporate agent with a mission to implant tracking chips that manipulate thoughts, loyalties, even memories. As behaviors shift and trust erodes, the crew must uncover who’s been compromised before they all lose control of the mission… and their minds.

Location: The Cracked Mirror. An abandoned speakeasy hidden beneath the ruins of Old District 6. Once a watering hole for off-grid artists, it now flickers with salvaged tech, graffiti-coded passwords, and dusty surveillance blockers. The neon sign out front barely hums to life anymore, but to those in the know, it signals revolution.

Character Options

Nyx “Trace” Moreno

The Strategist
NPC
Trace

A former NovaCorp systems architect who defected after witnessing the corporation manipulate citizen behavior. Cool, calculating, and quietly authoritative, Trace now designs the team’s most complex infiltration plans. He organized this meeting to coordinate the upcoming mission.

Skills: Network penetration, long-range tactical planning
Personality Traits: Focused, decisive, no-nonsense

Kaoru “Glitch” Tanaka

The Signal Bender
Mike
Glitch

An expert in aesthetic augmentation and broadcast manipulation, Glitch is the curated face of The Loop. His pirate rants and cinematic feeds have earned him a cult following, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He claims the recently discovered vulnerability is their best shot at rewriting the narrative, and naturally, he plans to direct the entire show.

Skills: Broadcast hijacking, aesthetic mods, counter-propaganda
Personality Traits: Dramatic, self-absorbed, flamboyant

Orion Venn

The Insider
Ben
Orion

Stylish, smooth, and always two steps ahead, Orion works on NovaCorp’s legal team and claims his conscience drove him to secretly join the resistance. His insider intel is valuable, but no one knows how deep his ties to the corporation really go. He’s always “just come from a meeting,” and somehow always knows more than he should.

Skills: Negotiation, espionage, social engineering
Personality Traits: Charming, calculating, manipulative

Milo Kade

The Detonator
Colin
Milo

Explosives expert, thrill-seeker, and walking hazard sign. Milo lives for the rush of a well-placed blast and the split-second silence before it hits. He says he’s fighting NovaCorp, but the truth is he’d blow up a parking meter if it made the right sound. He’s mostly loyal and his bombs rarely misfire, just try not to stand too close when he starts smiling.

Skills: Demolitions, sabotage, improvisation
Personality Traits: Reckless, energetic, unpredictable

Arden Vale

The Muscle
Kelsey
Arden

Once an enforcer for the black market circuit, Arden handles security for The Loop with quiet precision and a loaded sidearm. She’s not big on poetic speeches and she’s seen too many good people taken down by careless trust. NovaCorp built a system on fear, and she plans to dismantle it one corridor at a time. Just don’t get in her way, and don’t mistake her silence for softness.

Skills: Tactical planning, defense, intimidation
Personality Traits: Guarded, principled, practical

Dr. Elian Rowe

The Biotech Whisperer
Allie
Elian

Once a top scientist on NovaCorp’s neural interface team, Dr. Rowe walked away when she saw the company’s true intentions. She’s withdrawn but clearly brilliant, and carries the burden of what she helped create. Calm, insightful, and unsettlingly curious, she still believes the chips she helped design could be used for good.

Skills: Neural mapping, biometric analysis, experimental tech
Personality Traits: Reserved, analytical, composed

Jessa “Magpie” Rourke

The Scrapper
Lisa
Jessa

Scavenger, junkyard queen, and walking toolkit, Magpie can build or break anything. She’s a rogue engineer with a deep love for precision tools, rare tech, and clever rigging. Though fiercely loyal to her equipment, her motivations are harder to read, especially when her gaze lingers on the inventory bins a little too long.

Skills: Mechanical rigging, tech repair, scavenging
Personality Traits: Resourceful, clever, sly

Sera Dune

The Cipher Witch
Lindsay
Sera

Sera sees the world in patterns and whispers, always scribbling code like she’s trying to answer a question no one else thought to ask. She speaks in half-truths and eerie metaphors, keeping people off balance and watching closely to see how they react. Her mind runs deeper than she lets on, and she’s not here by accident. She’s chasing something buried in the noise, and she’ll follow the thread wherever it leads.

Skills: Codebreaking, anomaly detection, pattern recognition
Personality Traits: Cryptic, intense, eccentric

Remote Characters

These were designed to be remote, can adjust others if needed

M0LLY

The Computer
Ashley
M0lly

An AI assistant originally salvaged from an old NovaCorp research server, M0LLY was repurposed by The Loop after they recovered and reprogrammed her core. Now she manages encrypted data, internal communications, and helps coordinate group ops—though she’s prone to cheerful sarcasm and occasional glitching.

Skills: Environmental control, data logging, simulated emotional support
Personality Traits: Sarcastic, brilliant, condescending

Lex Quell

The Data Ghost
Andrew
Lex

Cynical, sharp-eyed, and always scanning for danger, Lex is a recluse who operates from a secure neural interface. His last crew left him for dead, and the scars haven’t faded. Most of his body was rebuilt with sleek, gleaming cybernetics, designed to look like art. Now he analyzes everyone with quiet precision and more than a hint of distrust. He joined The Loop for the mission, but that doesn’t mean he believes in the people. One betrayal was enough.

Skills: Surveillance tech, signal tracing, data sifting
Personality Traits: Suspicious, calculating, private
